A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of having dangerous dogs after police seized three pit bulls in Leeds – a week after a woman was savaged to death by two similar animals.
The 29-year-old is being held under the Dangerous Dogs Act after a police raid on a house in Brander Gate, Gipton, yesterday.
It follows the death of 27-year-old Emma Bennett last Tuesday, December 10, from injuries sustained in an attack by dogs at her home on Dawlish Avenue, East End Park, the previous day.
A 33-year-old man arrested under the Dangerous Dogs Act following Miss Bennett’s death remains on bail.
Who decided on the Dangerous Dogs Act – These dogs were a perfect breed of dogs until the greed of man came into play by introducing dog fighting – this would have never happened if governments stood ground long time back and made dog fighting illegal.
