CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TEAM AT DURRELL WILDLIFE CONSERVATION TRUST AND WELCOME – ‘Jantho’ New Baby Orangutan

Please welcome Durrell’s newest arrival!
Hi Facebook friends! Please meet ‘Jantho’… a baby Sumatran orangutan born on April 1st, at Durrell Wildlife Park!
Jantho is a lovely, healthy baby boy, born to Anette… her first child! Dominant male Dagu is the father, and mum and baby are doing very well! … Jantho’s name is a nod to the area where the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme operate a release centre for these critically endangered apes, and we know he will prove a great ambassador for his wild cousins!
If you are in Jersey, please vistit and support the Wildlife Park and give our orangutan family your best wishes in person! or visit the site www.durrell.org and give your support.
